What to expect & Itinerary／行程

Your Daisetsuzan Discovery begins in Asahikawa, where you’ll be whisked away through picturesque rice fields and into the heart of the national park. Your knowledgeable local guide will share insights and stories, enhancing your appreciation of this natural wonderland.

Upon reaching Mt. Asahidake, you’ll ascend via the ropeway, soaring from the dense pine forests at 1,100 meters to the alpine area at 1,600 meters. Here, you’ll have ample time to explore the volcanic landscapes and admire the vibrant alpine flora that paint the mountainsides.

After a delicious lunch at the ropeway restaurant, featuring a variety of local dishes (including vegetarian options), you’ll embark on a serene boardwalk trail through a wetland, offering a glimpse into one of Daisetsuzan’s unique environments. You’ll also have free time to explore the visitor center at your leisure.

Your adventure concludes with a visit to a camping site nestled within a mixed pine forest of Sakhalin Fir and Ezo Spruce, another quintessential representation of Hokkaido’s natural beauty.

On your return journey, you’ll have the opportunity to refill your water bottles with pure spring water from a crystal-clear stream, followed by a delightful stop in the charming town of Higashikawa, where you can indulge in local delicacies, such as sake, wine, coffee beans, soft-serve ice cream, and agricultural products.

旭川駅出発後は米どころ上川平野の田園風景を楽しみながら大雪山国立公園へと向かいます(所要時間1時間半）

旭岳に到着後、ロープウェイでアカエゾマツの森（1100m）から高山帯（1600m）へ登ります。高山植物や火山景観をお楽しみください。(約2時間のハイキング）

昼食はロープウェイのレストランで、麺類（ラーメン、そば、うどん）、定食/丼もの（カレーライス、ポーク/チキンプレート）など、様々なメニューからお選びいただけます。。ベジタリアンフードは、ライス・枝豆・野菜コロッケ・フライドポテト・いも餅があります。

昼食後、大雪山の特徴的な環境のひとつである高層湿原の木道を通って旭岳ビジターセンターへ。ビジターセンターは自由見学となります。国立公園最後の訪問地は、トドマツとアカエゾマツのキャンプ場です。この混交林も北海道を代表する代表する環境です。

３つの異なる環境を訪れた後、旭川に向かいます。途中の湧き水スポットで水を補給しましょう。湧水までは、300ｍほど歩きます。

最後のストップは東川町の道の駅です。日本酒、ワイン、コーヒー豆、ソフトクリーム、農産物、トドマツのアロマオイルなど、地元の特産品があります。

大雪山では、たとえ数百メートルであっても、歩いて森に入ることをオススメします。ガイド付きの短いウォーキングや、景色を楽しみながらの写真撮影をお楽しみください。美しく不思議な自然を五感で感じられる機会がたくさんあります。

Start:Asahikawa Tourist Information Center (The east-gate side of Asahikawa station)
Pickup details: 1^st pick up is Asahikawa station, 2^nd pick up is hotels in Asahidake Onsen. we can collect you any hotels in the Asahidake Onsen area.
End: This activity ends back at the meeting point

Additional Information／その他の情報

・Please come dressed for all weather the tour operates in all weather conditions. A good reain coat and practical shoes are a must when traveling in Daisetsuzan.
・Please bring any medication you may require during the day.
・The Asahidake Ropeway could be out of service due to a bad weather. In that case we arrange an alternative course to maximize your Daisetsuzan experiences.

・お薬が必要な方はご持参ください。
・旭岳ロープウェイは悪天候により運休する場合があります。その場合は、大雪山を満喫していただけるよう、代替コースをご用意いたします。
